A Christ Centered Tennessee Wedding
Joey & Alyse love the Lord so deeply, and it’s evident from the very first moment you meet them. I felt so honored to document their wedding this September, a day that was overcast and rainy, but nothing could dampen the joy, love, and intentional moments that filled their celebration. From the very start, it was clear that their day would be full of meaning, family, faith, and genuine connection.
One of my favorite parts of their day happened in the bridal suite just before the ceremony. Alyse’s bridesmaids gathered around her, holding her close in a circle of prayer. They uplifted her and covered her in prayer as she stepped into this new season of marriage, tears welling in her eyes from the heartfelt love and support. It was such a tender, emotional moment made even more special because a beloved family member who couldn’t be there in person was included via FaceTime, allowing her to witness and participate in the prayer and encouragement. Moments like these are why documentary-style weddings are so meaningful; they capture the true heart and soul of a day.
The ceremony and reception continued to overflow with authentic emotion. Joey & Alyse wanted their wedding full of candid moments with family and friends, and every smile, hug, and laugh was beautifully captured. The speeches were especially touching. Both Joey’s brother and his father spoke from the heart, bringing Joey to tears as they shared their love, memories, and prayers for the couple. These moments, coupled with the love-filled interactions throughout the day, made it impossible not to feel the joy and devotion radiating from everyone present.
Before their send-off, the reception reached a truly spiritual peak. Guests spontaneously began singing and worshipping God, centering the day around Him and highlighting the faith that anchors their marriage. Even through rain and clouds, Joey & Alyse’s wedding shone bright with love, laughter, and a reverence that made every moment unforgettable. This day was more than just a wedding. It was a beautiful, heartfelt testament to love, faith, and family, and I feel so grateful to have captured it. As a Tennessee Wedding Photographer and a Georgia Wedding photographer I am here to capture the special and unique moments of your day.
